We had a great day touring around Dalby; up and down the Myall Creek pathway, an initiative of the local government to improve and restore the banks of the creek. We then had to visit the two houses Wendy lived in when her family lived here in 1983. Their first house was 3 Wood Street, not far from the Showgrounds, and after about three months they moved into 28 Wood Street, a house they bought. Wendy did not recognise #3, but #28 was unchanged with the exception of the missing budgie cage next to the garage. Unfortunately, it seems that #28 is uninhabited as the lawns are a mess.
It was then time for mornos as the Urban Paddock and it was good. We then visited a number of shops, just as "window shoppers" really. Back to the van to change out of cycling gear and then back out to BIG W for a few supplies. Back home for lunch and a rest, then back out to the Art Gallery - Gallery 107. Well, what a disappointment that was. There was only one painting and it was of three figures and you had to guess who the artist had painted. There was no other 'art' in the gallery at all. Thank goodness entry was free!
Mark and Sue arrived just as we were setting off for the gallery, so on our return we spent a few moments with them before Greg went for another ride and Wendy did some home admin.
Sat and chatted with them whilst they had dinner then time for bed.
