A quick early morning walk because we slept in a bit. Coffee then breakfast and we were on the road to Longreach at 8:25 am.
There was nothing to see between Stonehenge and Longreach, but we did stop in the middle of nowhere for mornos; pod coffee in the van.
We we were checked in and parked at the Longreach Tourist Park just after 11am. This park is absolutely huge. We have a drive through site. Despite being packed in quite tight (not as bad as Dubbo), we have really great neighbors on both sides. Queenslanders on one side and Victorians on the other. The VICs are presumably COVID fee as they have been in QLD since the day the borders opened. We are having dinner with them tomorrow night at the RSL. The QLD’ers are from Scarborough (Brisbane), and have travelled quite a bit. He knows of the Howard bakery and we have convinced them to stop in on their way home.
Wendy had to do some real work and home chores so Greg does what he always does and went for a ride, then went shopping for groceries, then went out on the bike again to check out various eating venues
After a glass and a half of wine and some crocheting, it was time to retire inside the van to relax and watch TV.
