Prologue

We had a little whoopsie with the battery management system in the van just before our last trip so decided to not only replace it, but also replace the one AGM battery with two lithium batteries (just to be sure!). We had to wait for the new BMS to arrive then hook it all up.

We also bought a 160l water tank for the back of the cruiser to enable us to do more free camping when required, so had to set that up and ensure it did not leak.

There were also medical appointments to attend.

This trip has been in the planning stages since about Nov last year. We are now up to Plan F! We aim to leave on Tue 11 Aug, heading West initially, then North for a bit. Plans may change again, so I’ll leave the explanations there.

Traveling with 3 other couples- Gunther&Yvonne and Mark&Sue (travelled with them before) and Graham&Gail.
